Primary Function:

We are searching for an experienced Industrial Security Specialist to serve as the IPT Security Lead for a new DoD effort. This person be responsible for liaising with senior program management for all security related matters to include security compliance, assisting with deliverables, Personnel Security and assuming duties in the absence of the FSO.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving/process improvement skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, adept at multi-tasking and initiating projects
  • Demonstrated positive working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist with clearance, CAC, and visit request management and processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all classified documents, logs, inventories, and destruction certificates.
  • Conduct security awareness training and education program briefs as required.
  • Assist with physical security duties and responsibilities (inspections, intrusion detection systems, and access control).
  • Proactively identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and interpretations of DD254s.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of document control policies and procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Work Conditions: 

This work will take place in an office setting. There will be situations where customer interaction is expected, and appropriate business attire will be expected. There is currently no travel expected for this role.

There may be instances where the employee is required to work in a Secret or Top-Secret space, where the use of personal electronic devices, such as cell phones and smartwatches, are not permitted.


Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Clearance: Active TS (or Active Secret with ability to obtain TS)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • At 2 – 4 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of the NISP.
  • US Citizenship.

 Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a DoD or federal government environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with DISS, NISS, SWFT and Field Print.
  • Experience working in JIRA.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
