Position Title: Lead EVM Analyst

Primary Function:

This position will support defense / aerospace programs in OKC by managing forecasting project budgeting/analysis, Estimates at Completion (EACs), Earned Value Management (EVM), pricing, and cost proposals.  Your contributions will help ensure contract compliance, financial visibility, and decision support for senior leadership.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain forecasts, Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs) for contracts, control accounts, budgets.
  • Perform variance analyses and cost/schedule performance measurement; maintain earned value baselines.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly financial performance reports for program managers and senior leadership.
  • Support contract deliverables, including cost reporting, earned value metrics, funding profiles.
  • Interface with cost account managers, engineers, procurement to understand budget drivers and bring clarity to financial data.
  • Monitor financial risks, recommend corrective actions, track actuals vs. plan.
  • The individual chosen for this position will help maintain contractual EVMS requirements; develop, present and defend quarterly labor and material Estimates at Complete (EAC); and support related labor and material financial forecasting.
  • Also, they will analyze material EV metrics including weekly/monthly costs incurred and provide associated leading indicator guidance to Program and Business management.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with Cost Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, Program and Finance leadership.

Work Conditions:  Employee will be working within an office environment.  Employee may be expected to travel on occasion to locations where specific attire is necessary.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within defense, aerospace, or government contracting.
  • Proven experience with EAC, ETC, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and contract financial compliance.
  • Experience in EVMS baselining, implementation, maintenance and surveillance
  • Experience with COBRA and OpenPlan
  • Strong presentation, communication, professional skills and the ability to work independently and with some supervision and oversight
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Ability to perform work without appreciable direction
  • Direct communication with customers when required
  • Experience in a matrix environment.
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines.
  • Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level.
  • Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to management and peers.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company.
  • Experience managing multiple DoD contracts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems, cost reporting tools, and dashboard reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with project-based accounting procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/(DFAR) and government contractor cost structures
  • Familiarity and experience with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar government contractor accounting systems
