Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Primary Function:
This position is responsible for designing mechanical systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Configuration management.
- Accessing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, standards, and component specifications.
- Identifying, analyzing, and providing solutions to technical issues.
- Mechanical component or material identification and selection
- Assisting in test efforts.
- Requirement definition, tracking, and resolution.
- Technical data development, including instructions, plans, procedures, and reports.
- Risk identification and tracking.
- Assistance in design development activities.
- Work as a member of a team to ensure work is complete on time and accurate.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
Employee will be working mostly within an office environment. Employee may travel to work site locations where employee will be expected to dress in appropriate manner to deal with clients and customers. Some travel will be necessary to meet the requirements for the position.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field from an accredited University.
- 4 or more years’ experience in mechanical design
- Proficient knowledge of the Autodesk AutoCAD software packages, especially AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Ability to shift priorities and demands and timelines while still meeting all expectations and deadlines.
- Experience working with government contracts.
- US Citizen.
- Current/Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desirable Skills (not required):
- CAM experience
- MBSE experience
- Electrical engineering or other experience with electrical components
