Transmit-Receive Enhanced Communications System (T-RECS)

Long Wave Inc. designed and developed the T-RECS to interface with various military data communications systems. The PC-based system supports multiple clients and is a cost-effective method of interfacing existing legacy communications data terminals into a network environment. One T-RECS can replace up to 16 operator terminals with greatly enhanced capabilities. The T-RECS server/client architecture can provide several options for connecting multiple client workstations to a single messaging server, single client workstation to multiple messaging servers, or multiple client workstations to multiple messaging servers. This flexibility allows your systems to expand or contract without the need for costly software or hardware modifications.

The T-RECS is also useful in operational training lab applications as an economical stimulation device for multiple data circuits using an embedded scripting capability. The embedded scripting capability allows for the playback of specific content at specific times or a specific volume of traffic over a period of time. The user can pause, stop, rewind, or skip using the simple scripting tools to assist in training or testing needs.

T-RECS is accredited for Top Secret and was granted an Authority to Operate (ATO) and Type Accreditation in April of 2013. T-RECS is registered in both the DoD IT Portfolio Repository DON (DITPR-DON ID 22929) and the Department of the Navy Application and Database Management Systems (DADMS ID 85390). The Navy issued Full Readiness Certified Board (FRCB) approval for T-RECS installation as three communications centers in May of 2013.

T-RECS also supports High Level Architecture IAW IEEE1516-2010 and can be installed on any Windows-based platform.

T-RECS messaging server comes in 3 different models; Standard, Advanced, and Mobile

Standard T-RECS

Standard T-RECS
Standard T-RECS comes in a standard 3U 19” rack mount configuration for the messaging server. It comes standard with configurable RAID to support your data integrity needs. Each server has 16 different ports that can be configured separately and used simultaneously. With optional ruggedization, fiber optics, and other communication interfaces, standard cable sets can be provided in 6 foot increments. Specialized cable and termination options are available upon request.

This is the standard in military data communications.

Mobile T-RECS

Mobile T-RECS
Continuing modifications to fielded systems put high demands on integration and test personnel requiring the need to make the integration of test process and actions more efficient. Mobile T-RECS brings the test team to the system instead of the system to the test team. With the portability and survivability of MIL-STD-810G designed components, Mobile T-RECS can also support your strategic messaging needs while deployed in the tactical environment. Mobile T-RECS provides:
  • portable, rugged system to field test hardware and software modifications or malfunctions.
  • higher fidelity testing for quicker defect identification
  • portable, rugged system for ground communications while deployed
